Knee injury or Chronic Sports injuries?

Suffer from Knee injury OR even other chronic sports injuries?

Injuries of the knee are probably THE most significant & difficult to heal in the life of an athlete. Indeed Knee joint injury & knee pain are probably the most disabling.

Of course THE most common are those incurred by female soccer players and by far out-number almost all injuries incurred by females.

However THE most common injuries of the knee are actually the lateral collateral ligament with emphasis being on the acl injury prevention program. A close second is injuries of the knee relating to the posterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament & of course the Anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

Apart from general knee injuries being disabling, probably THE most stubborn to heal & onerus to recover from are knee injury relating to the Anterior cruciate ligament or acl.
A torn Acl often requires up to 12 months on the side-lines AND sufferers are very prone to recur if NOT fully recovered AND one must fully pass the pivot shift test to be any where near ready for 'battle'.

Struggling with chronic or recurrent Knee pain, knee injury or other sports injury? Please read on...

So you've tried:

  1. Rest
  2. Strapping
  3. Ice therapy
  4. Massage therapy
  5. Heat therapy
  6. Physical therapy
  7. Acupuncture
  8. injections of Cortisone OR its derivatives
  9. Keyhole surgery to trim any cartilage or stitch any tears
  10. etc, etc.

All to little or no avail. Sure, you got some relief for a time; But what long term benefit have you had?

Please let 'Cameron S' (CS) tell you his story...

I'm a 23 yo ex-basketball athlete. I've played state 'ball as a 16 yo, then got in the all australian squad AND even was on the Australian junior olympic squad at the same age.
My 'ball was really goin' somewhere.

Then it happened.
Knee strain got strapped. OK for a while.
Then it got worse, strapping didnt even relieve it.
Then it pretty well went as Glen's list above.
You know the drill: Ice, massage, more strapping. I tried physical therapy over many months.
I tried injections. Many different forms of injection; Not just cortisone.
Even had keyhole surgery to clean up any cartilage AND breakup the scarring that was forming all around the joint.

All whilst trying to play both locally & at any chance my knees would let me... I REALLY loved Basketball.
Still do, though I coach mostly these days.
Pretty well written off any 'court-time' these days too. The pain can get pretty bad.

*******************************************************************************

Anyhow Glen's son Cal played on my team & Cal said his dad was doing some antifibrosis stuff, to break up old scar tissue.

Well I was there in-a-shot. This was 4 months ago.

At first, progress was really slow but within the first month I began to feel a degree of confidence. Not much just a feeling that maybe, just maybe something is happening. Certainly noticed the depth of sleep stuff he talked about.
Glen said that if your body can't sleep deeply, it cannot heal deeply.

Certainly, the cost of his remedies weren't a big deal. In fact I was shocked how little it cost using Glen's antiaging-antifibrosis pak when compared to the many thousands of dollars I've spent going to this specialist & that surgeon. So I persisted.

After the second month I felt even more confidence returning. So-much-so that I even returned to the local basketball team to put any benefit to the test. Just for half a game say.

Well it certainly wasnt a pain-free experience at all BUT in recent times the normal pain response was just not that day playing BUT THE NEXT DAY. Anyhow, after the games I played I noticed no real after game pain however the next day WAS painful BUT not-as-deep-a-pain or even as long lasting.
Glen said to only play if you felt that confidence in movement return after you had played some days before. He said listen to your body!
He also said that the real-deep work is being done when your body begins to retrace some old pain in old areas NOTHING new.
He said this was a good sign that new blood was reaching old areas & that the new blood was bringing new sensation back to those old areas.

Month 3 went by & I had a bit of a bad month. I think I over played a bit BUT also felt the knees were retracing some old painful areas. Deep. Really deep it felt.
So I eased off playing a fair bit but kept up with the capsules & oil.

Well folks this fourth month would have to be THE most encouraging moth.

No pain during or after playing AND only some the next day.
I was still playing in the local comp at twice weekly with MOSTLY playing each game in full.

So its now in the 5th month & whilst I'm NOT fully, fully right I must say It feel GREAT GETTING back out there even if it is in the local comp without any great restriction or lack of confidence at all.

Finally; Do I recommend Glen's pack he has featured on this site? Absolutely!

Am I fully cured? No. BUT I think that if I can put a good pre-season training in WITHOUT any serious knee setback then to-all-intents-and-purposes my knees will be good-as-new.

Thanks to Glen.
